Colonel Tom Parker Elvis manager loved the roulette and gambling games of Las Vegas; you could almost say he was addicted to them; it is believed the colonel gambled away tens of in fact maybe hundreds of millions in his lifetime.

There is a whole lot of difference between the one armed bandits of todays British Isles; places like Blackpool, Southport and many of the sea side towns offer vast arcades full of machines for amusement.

Elvis recorded quite a few songs with the theme of 'rain'; Kentucky is a great place for rain; I must confess the old Errol Flynn film where the queen sends him to Ireland always sticks in my minmd; Irealand is a smaller island off the coast of England, and is known for its bogs, whisky, ale and singing people.

I like to keep singing Elvis songs, my voice changes through the years and the songs sometimes sound better; listen to the early and later versions of It Hurts Me by Elvis and you will see; here are a couple of songs, repeats of course, but later in time;

Peace in the Valley was Elvis first gospel super hit, again taken from the negro rythmn and blues and gospel music of the South, Elvis put his own stamp on this one and made it global, thanks to RCA; it lasts forever and here is my try in a windy and cold January 2012 on Merseyside.

Elvis birthday and for all us loyal fans who enjoy his music its time to remember him, myself after fifty years enyoing his music, here are my tributes; he kept me alive and keeps on, it is sometimes a tough trail, like most, and there are tougher ones as we all know for people; yes Elvis, He did touch You, here we all go for 2012.

We are well into 2012, now on the the 3rd January, and the wind is blowing and the rain is falling, and it all seems a bit scary, but this tiny island is ticking, and we are singing, and it will be the King's 77th birthday, had he stayed with us; there will be tribute shows and contests up and down this island, and many will do their best to step into the shoes of The King; good luck and God Bless to them all; here is a song from a 60s film in which Elvis played a sort of sheik, and sang some good songs on the album and film named Harem Holiday; here is my try on a windy and wet Tuesday 3rd Ja
